It is always said that ‘Behind every successful man there is always a woman’. On the 8th March, I launched my extended limited edition Womenswear line. ‘Elegant & Dynamic’, best describes my line, as is inspired by all the women who have made a difference in my life. Celebrating the joy of woman, my collection is dedicated to the woman from different aspects of my life, highlighting their identity and their value to me. Being a part of the International Women’s Day initiative, ‘Shades of the Arts’ organised by the High Commission of Barbados, I showcased this extended Collection for the first time. The collection can be said to be my symbolic reference to the versatility, comfort and simplicity that is desired by many women.
Fashion changes but style remains constant. This limited edition line includes light and breezy outfits, which boast a soft colour palette combined and contrasted with vibrant tones and prints. As the name suggests, it is a play on classic elegance, both confident and keyed in, with clean cuts and intricate detailing. A selection of free flowing gowns, structured dresses, tops, trousers, jumpsuits and skirts, which accentuate the figure and curves of the woman. Fabrics like silk and cotton dominate the collection, emphasising the fragility and natural experience of these effortlessly chic outfits. Keeping in mind the brand ethos and multi-functionality of a garment, the pieces can be worn in a number of ways: twisted, wrapped or flipped. By offering made-to-measure bespoke tailoring, my designs are characterised by simplicity, originality and more importantly versatility, allowing each garment to be something new and unique to the wearer.

As the month of March is dedicated towards celebrating the power of women, I continued to showcase my limited edition Womenswear line as part of the London Designers Collective. The Pop-Up Boutique arrived on Camden High Street on the 13th March, as a four-day concept store. Supported by the Republic of Fritz Hansen and Black Sheep Coffee, and showcasing alongside local young designers Jara Wine, Elizabeth Dunn, Isabel Wong, A Beautiful Mess and Velsvoir. The event was a huge success, with the chosen brands complimenting each other brilliantly. The space was transformed into a slick store, giving patrons an idea of the great things to come from the London Designers Collective. The event was well attended and a great platform from which to exhibit this intriguing Womenswear collection. With a model dressed to impress in an original dress throughout Thursday, attention was duly received. The perfect round up to a busy but great month dedicated to women.
